I liked the historic architectural features, like hexagon tile floor in the bathroom.
It was a little noisy, being on the Freemont Experience.
My room was comfortable and the casino at night is very active. The resturant De-m? is great and affordable and not a buffet. The Golden Gate is priced at a good value.
I have no complaints. The Golden Gate met all my needs

Nice authentic hotel, downtown, excellent parking close to hotel. From hotel you walk directly into the Freemont Experience.

It was right on Fremont Street. Great location. Also the girls dealing cards were nice.
Definitely don't try to sleep before ... 2am? Its right next to a music stage so you're definitely gonna be hearing music in your room from like 7 - 2am
It was close to the GN, which is where my conference was located. The Hotel is a good business hotel.
The only thing that could be a problem for some people is the noise..... Up until midnight, the noise from Fremont was loud, I was able to good to sleep.
Did I have per-paid with your Booked.net ? if yes , I paid 2 times for 2 room 1 night ,due to my friend went to check out , she was asked to pay, but I paid when I checked in time. I went back to explain in next day .They let me to call booking .com where I made book the rooms . I gave my card to them and signed , my friend gave her card and signed again in 2nd day .
They were on Freemont St
The worse customer service I have ever seen from a manager. Our rooms A/C was out (this was in the "new" part of the building with centeral air") and she acted like we were some kind of bother to her asking for a room that was less then 80 deg. She offered a room just as hot on Freemont with the music so loud I could hear it at least 10 steps from outside the room. This 2nd room was just as hot in the "old" part of the building and her only offer was ear plugs. She stated they were sold out on a Monday night. It was strange that the hotel only a few buildings down told us they had 10 guests and Monays are never sold out. The manager at Golden Gate Debbie tried to make me feel she was doing us a favor by letting us out of our reservation. I will never stay or walk into that place when I am in Vegas.

Queen beds seemed smaller than usual. It is obvious that the proposed attractive fares are a "bait" for further expenditure in the casino and bar
Being charged the incorrect amount...the filthy bathroom tile floor...the missing light bulbs in the fixtures...the one window which had no locking device therefore no security...a/c not working when its over 100.
The Location was excellent and the staff friendly enough to talk to
The music playing in the casino was constant and loud
